Holiday Opening Hours

It’s that time of year again! With the weather warming and the lights and decorations starting to go up around the Coast, we’re fast approaching Christmas, New Years, and even Australia Day. (Hey, don’t judge. This is a quarterly newsletter, okay?) We wanted to get a jump on and give everybody a heads up on our opening hours over the next two months. We will, of course, be sending out closer reminders on our socials in the weeks to come, but for now here we are.

Pilates – Expression of Interest!

After a tonne of hard work and dedication, our stellar massage therapist, Jo, is now a registered Pilates Instructor! Pilates is an excellent form of exercise that can improve posture, muscle tone, balance and joint mobility, as well as relieve stress and tension. Being the hub of allied health services that we are, we’re keen to get some classes up and running in the new year and we’re currently gathering details for anybody interested in joining. Currently, we are expecting to offer both morning and evening classes, but a finalised timetable (as well as pricing) will come once we have a clearer idea of who is interested.

After all, the more people we can gather, the more classes we can offer!

If you’re at all interested in joining our classes, please call us on 5438 1079, email on manager@sunshinecoastalliedhealth.com.au, or alternatively drop us a message over on our Facebook page.

Sweaty Sundays

Yep, our monthly Sweaty Sunday Sessions are still kicking! For those who do not know, the team at SCAH have been gathering down at King’s Beach on the last Sunday of the month for a 3km walk, run, or jaunty skip! We’ve had a handful of patients join us over the last few months and afterwards, we head to coffee together to enjoy the morning.

Come the New Year, we’d really like to kick this up a notch to fortnightly, instead of monthly! So if you’re at all interested, be sure to watch our Facebook page for updates the Friday prior. Let’s get out, get our butts moving, and have an awesome time doing so. We cater for all levels of fitness and however you like to move, you can be assured you’ll have a buddy in one of us to chat with along the way.

Welcome to the Team…

This month we’ve welcome two wonderful ladies into the Sunshine Coast Allied Health family…

Tash is a dedicated, Accredited Practicing Dietitian who is passionate in helping people reach and maintain their health goals. With experience in diabetes management, cardiovascular conditions, respiratory health and weight management (and a whole lot more!) Tash is also a Monash FODMAP certified dietitian, and able to assist you in a low FODMAP diet and digestive disorders.

New to our team and rounding out another aspect of Allied Health is Catherine, a registered acupuncturist and Chinese medicine practitioner. Catherine can assist with multiple issues such as fertility and IVF support, menstrual issues, stress, anxiety and mild depression, and pain (including back, neck, shoulder, headaches and migraines.)
